The women's lacrosse team began their 2023 season with a road contest at top ranked East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon.
The top ranked Warriors were too much for the Griffins as they defeated SHU by a 16-7 margin.

East Stroudsburg scored the first three goals of the second quarter as they built a 5-0 lead.
Skylar Orlowski got the Griffins on the board with a goal at the 9:51 mark of the quarter. ESU answered with three more before
Piper Conlan scored with 3:36 to play in the half to trim the Warriors lead to 8-2. The Warriors led 9-2 at the half.
Seton Hill got goals from Orlowski and
Megan Bunker in the third quarter as they trailed 14-4 heading to the fourth quarter.
Carleigh Sutfin scored the opening goal of the fourth quarter to cut the ESU lead back to single digits. Conlan and Bunker each added goals in the fourth.
Orlowski, Conlan and Bunker each scored twice in the loss. Orlowski added two assists while Conlan added one.
Seton Hill will travel to Shippensburg on Wednesday afternoon.
