Seton Hill took a 1-0 lead on a man up goal from
Andy Davis just under three minutes into the contest. SHU increased their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Kade Granberg with nine minutes to play in the first quarter. Davis' second goal of the quarter extended the SHU lead to 3-0 with just over four minutes remaining.Â
Connor Zostant scored late in the period as SHU carried a 4-0 lead into the second quarter.Â

Chestnut Hill scored the lone goal of the second quarter and the Griffins held a 4-1 lead at the halftime break.Â

Midway through the third quarter, Chestnut Hill cut the Griffins lead in half with a goal at the eight minute mark. Less than a minute later,
Jeremy Sforzo gave the Griffins a 5-2 lead with 7:19 remaining in the third. Chestnut Hill cut the lead back to two with a goal with 3:32 left in the quarter.Â

Less than two minutes into the fourth quarter, the Griffins got a man up goal from
Vincent Cogliandro to push the lead back to three at 6-3. Just over two minutes later, Chestnut Hill got that goal back to make it 6-4 with 10:47 to play. Sforzo scored his second goal to extend the lead back to three at 7-4 with 7:42 to play.Â

Sforzo and Davis each scored twice to lead the Griffins. Cogliandro added a goal and assist.Â
Josh Miller made 10 saves to earn the win.Â
