The Griffin baseball team closed out their three game set with Findlay in Cary, NC with a single nine inning contest on Sunday afternoon.
Three Griffin pitchers combined on a three hit shutout as the Griffins took the final game of the series by a 4-0 score. SHU is now 1-2 on the season.
Seton Hill did not take very long to get on the scoreboard.
Jack Whalen led off the contest with a double and stole third base. He scored on a two run homer from
Owen Sabol as the Griffins took the early 2-0 lead. The game remained 2-0 until the sixth inning.

Aidan Layton was able to keep the Oilers off the scoreboard over his six innings of work. In the bottom of the sixth,
Vincenzo Rauso hit a solo homer with one out to extend the Griffins lead to 3-0.
SHU added an insurance run in the seventh.
Jack Oberdorf led off the inning with a double. He scored on an RBI single from
Logan Vietmeier as SHU extended their lead to 4-0.
Layton earned the win with six scoreless innings of three hit ball. He struck out nine and did not walk a batter.
Jon McCullough worked two scoreless innings while striking out two and
Caiden Wood pitched a perfect ninth. The three combined for the three hit shutout victory.
Whalen and Vietmeier each had two hits.
SHU will host Walsh in a three game set beginning next Friday.
