The Griffin Men's Soccer team made the long trip north to Erie, PA for another PSAC West showdown with the nationally ranked (#13) Gannon Golden Knights. The Griffins fought hard early, but eventually fell to a score of 3-0. Seton Hill falls to 2-8 overall and 1-2 in PSAC West play, while Gannon gets to 10-0-1 overall and 3-0-0 in the PSAC West.
Gannon was able to start their scoring off in the first half, taking a 1-0 lead at the 22:00 minute mark, the only one before the intermission. Griffin keeper Aiden Hollander battled tough making three saves in the first period. The Golden Knight's offense opened up in the second half when they stretched the lead to 2-0 in the 75th minute. Then they added a third goal 15 minutes later to extend their lead to 3-0.
Hollander finished with eight saves in the contest.
Benjamin Nicholson and
James Aubrey each added one shot on goal in the second half.
The Griffins will continue their PSAC play with a matchup against Cal U (PA) on Wednesday, October 11th at 3:30pm in Greensburg.
