Seton Hill made the trip to Erie to take on #19 Mercyhurst in PSAC West action on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins scored a late goal as they defeated the Lakers by the score of 1-0. SHU improves to 3-3-1 in the PSAC West. The Lakers fall to 4-2-1 in the west and 11-2-1 overall.
The win is the first for the Griffins in Erie in nine tries and the first loss at home for the Lakers this season.
Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first half.
Aidan Hollander made three saves in the first half.
Brice Gandhi put the Griffins in front with 3:04 to play in the contest as SHU took a 1-0 lead.
Hollander finished with six saves for the shutout win.
The Griffins will travel to CalU on Wednesday night for another PSAC West contest.
