Seton Hill made the short trip to California, PA for an important PSAC West contest with the Vulcans on Wednesday evening.
THe Vulcans scored twice in the first half as they jumped on the Griffins and never trailed in a 3-2 win over the Griffins. SHU falls to 3-4-1 in PSAC West play while the Vulcans improve to 2-6 in the west.
SHU is currently in fourth place in the PSAC West with 10 points. Slippery Rock is in the final third playoff spot in third place with 12 points.
California took a 1-0 lead on the Griffins in the 13th minute. Less than eight minutes later, the Vulcans increased their lead to 2-0. CalU carried the 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
SHU got on the board just 3:37 into the second half when
James Aubrey scored his first goal of the contest. Vasilis Christodoulo assisted on the goal. Seven minutes later, the Vulcans increased their lead to 3-1. Aubrey scored his second goal of the game with a little over 31 minutes to play in the half.
The Griffins will host Gannon on Saturday afternoon in another PSAC West contest.
