Seton Hill Defeats CalU 4-0 in PSAC West Play

Seton Hill returned to PSAC West play as they hosted California (PA) at DSG Field in Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon.

The Griffins scored a pair of goals in each half in route to a 4-0 victory over the Vulcans.  SHU is now 3-7-1 in the PSAC West while CalU drops to 1-8-2 in the west.

With just under eighteen minutes to play in the first half, the Griffins took a 1-0 lead on a goal from Kilee Coatney.  Emma Rain found Madison Carr streaking down the right side and Carr crossed a pass to Coatney near the top of the box and Coatney deposited a shot into the back of the net to put the Griffins in front.  Just over ten minutes later the Griffins increased their lead to 2-0.  Coatney touched a free kick off to Jessica Molitoris who blasted a shot into the back of the net to put the Griffins ahead by two.

A little over three minutes into the second half, Natalie Maver hit Leah Kessler down the right side who hit Victoria Rothrauff with a pass and Rothrauff found the back of the net to give SHU a 3-0 lead.  Late in the second half, Maddie Teakle took a free kick and passed to Leah Policarpio who beat two defenders and scored to give SHU a 4-0 lead.

Coatney led the Griffins with a goal and assist.  Lindsey Pazdziorko recorded three saves in net for the shutout win.

The Griffins will host Pitt Johnstown on Saturday at 12:30 PM for Senior Day.
