Seton Hill began PSAC West play on Wednesday afternoon as they traveled to Indiana (PA).

Indiana (PA) outscored the Griffins by a 28-12 margin in the first quarter and never looked back as they opened PSAC West play with a 77-60 victory over the Griffins. SHU falls to 9-6 overall and 2-4 in the PSAC while IUP stays undefeated at 11-0 and 6-0 in the PSAC.Â

Courtney Tomas scored four early points as the Griffins trailed Indiana (PA) 11-8 midway through the first quarter. IUP hit back to back three pointers as they pushed their lead to 20-12 with two minutes remaining in the quarter. IUP closed the quarter on an 11-0 run as SHU trailed 28-12 after one quarter of play.

IUP increased their lead to 35-16 midway through the second quarter. The Crimson Hawks took a 40-18 lead into the halftime break.

The Griffins used a 14-5 run over the final 6:38 of the third quarter as they trimmed the IUP lead to 54-36 after three. Tomas and
Christiane Frye each had five points during the run.Â

Seton Hill battled IUP in the fourth quarter and outscored the Crimson Hawks by one, 24-23.Â

Tomas and Frye led the Griffins with 13 points each.Â
Alie Seto also reached double figures with 10 points.Â
Helene Cowan just missed double figures with eight points.
