The Griffins concluded their two game PSAC West homestand with a contest with Slippery Rock on Wednesday evening.

Seton Hill had four players reach double figures as they knocked off the Rock by an 84-77 margin.  SHU is now 8-6 overall and 3-5 in the PSAC while the Rock drops to 11-3 overall and 5-3 in the PSAC.

SHU got off to a quick start, taking an early 9-2 lead behind four points from Sean Dillon, three from Jimmy Moon and two from Samuel Tabe.  Slippery Rock fought back to tie the score at 13 with 13 minutes to play in the half.  Back to back layups from Moon and Tabe put the Griffins in front 20-16 midway through the half.

Over a four minute span, the Rock went on a 12-0 run to take a 30-23 lead with 4:19 left in the half.  Back to back threes from Tabe and Meis and a basket from Dillon put the Griffins back in front 31-30 with 44 seconds left.  Dillon hit a three at the buzzer to give SHU a 34-32 halftime lead.

Drew Green hit back to back three pointers to open the second half and Tabe followed with a basket as SHU built a ten point lead less than three minutes into the half.  Slippery Rock was able to chip away at the Griffins lead and got back to within one at 55-54 with 10:39 remaining.

The Griffins responded with an 11-0 run as they pushed their lead to 66-54 with 8:05 to play.  Back to back threes from Meis and Green ended the run.  The Rock got back to within six points but five straight points from Tabe put the Griffins back in front 75-64 with five minutes to play.  The Rock scored six straight before two free throws from Dillon and a three from Meis gave SHU an 80-70 lead with 1:33 to play.  Slippery Rock would get as close as five down the stretch but the Griffins put the game away at the free throw line.
