The Griffin men's soccer team began their 2022 season with a home matchup with number six Millersville on Thursday afternoon in Greensburg.  

The sixth ranked Marauders scored a single goal in the first half and added two more in the second half for a 3-0 win over the Griffins.  

Millersville took advantage of a close foul call in the box that was not called and were able to transition that into a scoring opportunity in the opposite end of the pitch in the 25th minute as they were able to tap in a rebound off a save to take a 1-0 advantage.  The Marauders held a 9-5 advantage in shots in the half.  Bobby White recorded three saves in the first half.  

The Marauders increased their lead to 2-0 just over five minutes into the second half.  After a blocked shot, they picked up a loose ball and scored into the upper right corner of the net,  They added a third just five minutes later.  

Archie Lock led the Griffins with five shots.  Fletcher Amos added three and Cai Pritchard finished with two.  White made five saves in net.

The Griffins return to action on Sunday afternoon with a matchup at the District of Columbia.
