Seton Hill opened their four game PSAC West set with a home doubleheader with Clarion on Friday afternoon in Greensburg.

SHU scored seven times in the first inning of game one in route to a 10-0 victory over Clarion. The Griffins walked off Clarion by a 4-3 score in game two. SHU improved to 21-6-1 overall and 8-2 in the west.Â

The Griffins got on the board in the bottom of the first inning scoring seven times on five hits.Â
Jake Orr led off the inning with a single. He moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from
Vincenzo Rauso. Orr moved to third and scored on a wild pitch. Jake Oberdorf and
Isaiah DiAndreth each drew walk.Â
Owen Sabol reached on an infield single with Oberdorf scoring on the hit and DiAndreth scoring on an error.Â
Drew Garth also walked while
Neal McDermott and
Tanner Froehlich each singled as the Griffins increased their lead to 5-0. Orr then connected with his second single of the game as SHU extended their lead to 7-0.Â

SHU added three more runs in the bottom of the third inning. Oberdorf drove in a run with an RBI groundout and DiAndreth knocked in two with a single to give SHU a 10-0 lead.Â

Kevin Vaupel improved to 4-1 with six scoreless innings of work. He struck out five and gave up just 3 hits. Orr led SHU with three hits and two RBIs. Sabol added two hits.Â

Clarion took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning with a three run shot to left field. Seton Hill got one of those runs back in the second inning. Garth drew a leadoff walk and stole second. He scored when Froehlich singled.Â

The Griffins cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning. With two outs, Orr singled. He scored on a two out double from Rauso. SHU tied the game at three in the sixth inning. With an out,
Brandon Kline singled. He moved to third on an Orr single and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Rauso to tie the score.Â

Seton Hill then walked it off in the ninth inning. With one out, McDermott walked. He moved to second on a groundout then third on a wild pitch. After Kline walked, Orr singled on an 0-1 pitch to give SHU a 4-3 win.Â

Nash Bryan earned the win in relief with two scoreless innings. He struck out five in the win.Â
Caiden Wood with two perfect innings of relief. Orr went 4-6 with the game winner to lead the Griffins. Oberdorf, Rauso and Kline each with two hits for SHU.

SHU and Clarion will conclude their four game set with another doubleheader on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg with the Griffins as the road team for the games.  Â
