Brian Tucker and the Griffin wrestlers will travel to the Pitt Johnstown for the 2022 NCAA Division II Super Region I Tournament on Saturday. Eleven schools are scheduled to participate, with the top three wrestlers in each of the 10 weight classes advancing to the NCAA Division II National Tournament in St Louis, Missouri on March 11 and 12.

Super Region I Championship website with a ton of information about the tournament. Track wrestling will have
live results through their website.
This year's Super I Regional Tournament will feature several of the nation's top-ranked teams, including Gannon and Mercyhurst who are tied for 15th in the latest NWCA Rankings. Number 18 Kutztown, #19 UPJ and #24 American International are also in the rankings. In addition to the ranked teams, Alderson Broaddus, East Stroudsburg, Fairmont State, Millersville, Seton Hill and Shippensburg will also be part of the 11-team field.
The Griffins have one wrestler who has advanced to national in their 10 person team this weekend.
Frank Bonura advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championships in 2020.
Session I will begin on Saturday at 10 AM and will consist of the Round of 16, Quarterfinal, and Championship semifinals along with all of the consolation rounds. The final session will start at 6:30 PM, featuring the Championship finals and consolation finals on two mats. Following the finals, "True 4
th place" matches will be wrestled on one mat in the necessary weight classes.
Ticket prices are $15 for adults for an all session pass and $10 for students/seniors for an all session pass. Single session passes are $8 for adults and $4 for students/seniors.
