Before SHU:
had nearly 40 wins in two seasons at Wheeling University . . . Last season Alberts was the West Virginia Invite Champion, runner up at the Will Abele Invitational, and was a match away from qualifying for the National Tournament . . . In high school, was a three time PIAA AA State Qualifier for Ellwood City High School . . . placed 7th in senior season and accumulated 134 wins.
