Seton Hill closed out their three game set with Limestone in Gaffney, SC on Sunday afternoon looking to sweep the series from the Saints.
Limestone salvaged a game in the series with a 3-2 victory over the Griffins in game three. SHU drops to 2-1 on the season while the Saints improve to 1-10.
The Saints used a hit batter and two singles to take a quick 1-0 lead over the Griffins in the bottom of the first inning. They increased their lead to 2-0 with three straight singles after two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
The Griffins cut the Saints lead in half in the top of the fifth inning.
Isaiah DiAndreth hit a solo homer to left field with one out in the inning.
SHU then tied the score at two in the sixth inning.
Elijah Snider singled to lead off the inning. He advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored when
Braden Durham singled up the middle to make it 2-2.
Limestone used a walk, a wild pitch and a single to retake the lead in the eighth inning. SHU was then retired in order in the ninth to close out the game.
Seven different Griffins had one hit in the contest. DiAndreth had the lone extra base hit with the homer.
The Griffins will host Walsh next weekend in a three game set.
