Seton Hill traveled to Painesville, Ohio for their final dual match of the season as they battled Lake Erie on Saturday evening.  

The teams split the ten matches but the Storm got bonus points in three of their wins for a 24-20 victory over the Griffins.  SHU finishes the dual match season with an 8-6 record.

Lake Erie opened the match with two wins by pinfall as they took an early 12-0 lead.  Joel Cawoski got the Griffins on the board with a 20-3 tech fall win at 141 pounds as the Griffins cut the lead to 12-5.  The Storm got a decision win at 149 pounds as they took a 15-5 lead.  

The Griffins then won four straight matches to take the lead in the match.  Tyler Alberts won a 4-2 decision at 157 pounds as the Griffins trailed 15-8 midway through the match.  

Colby Romjue picked up a win by fall (3:59) at 165 pounds to cut the lead to 15-14.  Luke Ewing battled and won by a 2-1 score at 174 pounds to put the Griffins in front 17-15.  Brandon Matthews extended the Griffins lead to 20-15 with a 5-0 win at 184 pounds.

The Storm then closed out the match with two straight wins to win the dual.

SHU will now prepare for the NCAA Regional hosted by Pitt Johnstown on February 26th.
