The Griffin women's basketball team began PSAC play with a PSAC Crossover at Lock Haven on Friday evening.

The Bald Eagles outscored the Griffins by 20 points over the final three quarters as they defeated the Griffins by the score of 75-60.  SHU is now 4-3 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC.  Lock Haven is now 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC.

Sakeria Haralson scored the first six points for the Griffins as SHU took an early 6-2 lead just two minutes into the contest.  Alie Seto followed with five straight points as SHU built their lead to 11-6 with 5:46 to play in the quarter.  Three straight three pointers for the Griffins, two from Hallie Cowan and one from Seto, extended the SHU lead to 20-8 with 3:48 left in the quarter.  SHU would go scoreless over the final 3:48 as LHU cut the SHU lead to 20-15 at the end of the quarter.

Lock Haven got back to within one point in the second quarter but after a three point play from Helene Cowan SHU led 27-22 midway through the quarter. Seto's three pointer tied the score at 33 heading to the halftime break.

Another three pointer from Seto tied the score at 42 with 6:12 to play in the third quarter.  Lock Haven responded with an 8-0 run to take a lead they would not relinquish over the final quarter and a half.  SHU was able to get back to within three on a Haralson basket but the Bald Eagles hit a three at the end of the quarter and took a 55-49 lead at the end of the quarter.

The Griffins were able to get back to within four points twice in the fourth quarter but the Bald Eagles were able to put the game away down the stretch.
