Seton Hill closed out their regular season with a road PSAC West matchup at California (PA) on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins scored twice in the first half and that was enough in a 2-0 win over the Vulcans. SHU closes the regular season with an 8-8-2 record. SHU was 6-2-2 in the west.
SHU is currently second in the PSAC West. The Griffins would remain in second place if Gannon ties or loses to UPJ on Saturday evening. If SHU finishes second they would host Gannon in the first round. Should Gannon win on Saturday, the Griffins would finish third and travel to Gannon for the first round matchup.
Just over six minutes into the contest, the Griffins took a 1-0 lead on a goal from
Fletcher Amos.Â
Oscar Heggem assisted on the Amos goal. With a little less than fifteen minutes left in the half, Amos scored his second of the contest.Â
Anton Dupont Linden and
Cai Pritchard assisted on the goal. SHU outshot the Vulcans 8-6 in the half. Â
Nathaniel Huff recorded three saves for the Griffins in the win. Amos led SHU with three shots on goal.
