Griffins Fall in PSAC Quarterfinal at Gannon

Seton Hill returned to the PSAC Postseason for the seventh time in nine years as they made the trip to Erie for a PSAC Quarterfinal matchup with Gannon. 
 
Both teams scored three times in the first half but the Golden Knights got the lone goal in the second half as they eliminated the Griffins by the score of 4-3 in the quarterfinals.  SHU ends the season with an 8-9-2 record.
 
The game got off to a furious start as the Griffins scored less than a minute into the contest.  Fletcher Amos took a pass from Elias Mobrin in the midfield and beat the Knight keeper for a 1-0 Griffin lead just 48 seconds into the contest.  Less than two minutes later, the Griffins extended their lead to 2-0 on a corner kick.  Mobrin headed in Archie Lock's corner kick to give SHU a 2-0 lead just 2:27 into the half. 
 
Gannon fought back and tied the game at two with two goals in a seven minute span and the game was tied at two with just under 35 minutes remaining.  Late in the half, Moritz Stuehn finished a cross from Anton Dupont Linden as the Griffins built a 3-2 lead.  A little less than ten minutes later, Gannon tied the score at three on a goal off a corner kick.  The game headed into the halftime break tied at three.
 
Gannon held a 9-6 lead in shots in the half.  Seton Hill held a 5-1 advantage in corners in the match. 
 
The Knights scored the game winning goal in the 59th minute of the contest off a scrum in front of the net.
 
Gannon held a 10-8 advantage in shots in the second half. 
 
Mobrin ended the contest with a goal and assist.  Amos led SHU with three shots.  Nathaniel Huff recorded seven saves in net.
