The Griffins took a break from PSAC West play as they hosted WV Wesleyan on Wednesday evening in the McKenna Center.
Seton Hill rallied to win the first set and used that momentum to sweep the Bobcats. SHU is now 13-8 on the season. Â
WV Wesleyan built a 14-5 lead in the first set but the Griffins went on a 14-4 run to take a 19-18 lead. The Bobcats trailed 22-21 but SHU scored three of the final four points for a 25-22 win. The Griffins had runs of 6-0 and 10-0 in the second set as they cruised to an easy 25-8 set win to build a 2-0 lead in the match. SHU trailed 15-13 in the third set but went on a 5-1 run to retake the lead. The Griffins closed out the match with a 25-20 third set win.
Paige Cole led the Griffins with 13 kills.Â
Bobbi Rempe finished with seven.Â
Elizabeth Kolkowski and
Katie Koziarz each had six kills.Â
Riley Rock led the offense with 18 assists while
Abby Oesterling finished with 15. Koziarz led SHU with 7 blocks.Â
Carrie Leazer had a team high nine carries.
The Griffins return to action on Saturday afternoon at home against Mercyhurst.
