The Scots continued to hold the lead over the first half of the third quarter, leading 48-42 at the midway point of the quarter.  Joi Burleigh finished off a Trest pass and Kosmacki hit two free throws before Trest buried a three to put the Griffins in front 49-48 with 3:48 to play.  Courtney Tomas answered a Scot three with a three of her own to put the Griffins back in front by one.  Edinboro hit a three with eight seconds to play but Trest raced the length of the court and hit a shot just before the buzzer to cut the Scot lead to 60-59 heading to the fourth quarter.

A layup and three pointer from Trest put the Griffins in front 66-62 three minutes into the fourth quarter.  Kosmacki added a basket to increase the Griffin lead to six with six minutes remaining.  A Trest fastbreak layup followed by a Nolan layup pushed the Griffin lead to 74-66 with 3:44 to play.  With just over a minute to play, Kosmacki hit a jumper to increase the SHU lead to 76-68.  SHU then hit three of four free throws down the stretch to close out the win.
