Seton Hill took a break from PSAC play on Tuesday night as they traveled to Frostburg, Maryland for a non conference matchup with Frostburg State. Seton Hill scored early in the fourth quarter to tie the score but Frostburg scored a late goal for a 2-1 win over the Griffins.
Frostburg State opened the scoring midway through the first half as they took a 1-0 lead 8:54 into the first quarter. Frostburg held a 2-0 advantage in shots in the quarter.
The second quarter belonged to the the Griffins as they outshot the Bobcats by a 5-0 margin but could not find the back of the cage.
The Bobcats held a slim 2-1 advantage in shots in the third period but neither team scored as Frostburg State took a 1-0 lead into the fourth period.
Just over five minutes into the fourth quarter, the Griffins tied the score at one on a goal from
Olivia Diebel.
Makayla Batts assisted on the goal. With just over a minute to play in the contest, the Bobcats scored the game winner.
Batts led the Griffins with two shots on goal.
Emma Jorgensen recorded four saves in cage.
The Griffins will return to PSAC play next Tuesday when they travel to IUP.
