Seton Hill goalie Shannon McCormac posted her fourth game of the season with double-digit saves but the Griffins were held off the scoreboard in a 2-0 setback at IUP Tuesday night.

The Crimson Hawks had their first shot of the game stopped by McCormac but they managed to score on the rebound to take a 1-0 lead at the midway point of the first quarter. It was the only goal of the first half, as McCormac made four total saves and the score remained 1-0 in IUP's favor at intermission.

Early in the third period, IUP added to their lead, as a deflection off a corner led to a second goal and a 2-0 lead. Seton Hill generated their best chances of the game late in the third, creating four shots and three corner chances in the final three minutes, but all three shots on goal were denied and IUP maintained their two-goal lead. IUP tried to add to their lead in the final stanza, but McCormarc, who finished with 11 saves in the game, turned aside five shots to keep the final score at 2-0.

The Griffins are back at home for their next game when they host Mansfield in a 12 pm face off Saturday.
