Seton Hill made the long trip to Rochester, NY to take on Roberts Wesleyan in a non conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon. SHU scored three times in the first half in route to a 3-2 victory over the Red Hawks. SHU is now 2-2-1 on the season.
The Griffins took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute on a goal from
Fletcher Amos.
Sebastian Acuna and
Anthony Panko assisted on the opening goal for the Griffins. Roberts Wesleyan tied the game at one with a goal in the 40th minute.
Less than two minutes later,
Elias Vangen gave the Griffins a 2-1 lead.
AJ Koma assisted on the Vangen goal. With seven seconds to play in the half, Koma made it 3-1 for the Griffins.
Moritz Stuehn assisted on the Koma goal.
The Griffins led in shots in the first half by a 6-4 margin.
Midway through the second half, the Red Hawks cut the Griffins lead to 3-2 with a goal scored on a penalty kick.
Bobby White made two saves in net for the Griffins to earn the win. Koma finished with a goal and an assist.
SHU will return to action on September 25th at Salem.
