Seton Hill opened PSAC West play on Saturday afternoon with a road contest at Gannon on Saturday evening under the lights. The Griffins scored late in the first half and kept the Knights off the scoreboard for a 1-0 shutout win. SHU improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the West while Gannon falls to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the West.
The Griffins had an early chance to take a 1-0 lead over the Knights but their keeper stopped a penalty kick in the eighth minute of the contest. In the 23rd minute, the Griffins were forced to play with 10 players after a second yellow card turned into a red card. SHU took a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute on a goal from
Olivia DeLeonibus. The goal was scored off a corner kick from Makayla Moyer. The corner dropped around the six and DeLeonibus hammered it into the back of the net.
Grace Kenyon made three saves for the Griffins in the first half.
The defense was able to keep Gannon off the scoreboard in the second half to preserve the shutout win. Kenyon made four more saves in the second half. She made three in a seven minute period late in the half.
Kenyon finished with seven saves for her second shutout win of the season. DeLeonibus,

SHU will host Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon for their home opener. Kick is set for 3 PM.
