Seton Hill continued their four game set with Gannon with a road PSAC doubleheader in Erie on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins saw their 14 game season opening winning streak come to an end with a 5-1 loss in game one. SHU responded with an 8-4 win in game two to earn the split of the doubleheader. The Griffins are now 15-1 overall and 7-1 in the west while the Knights are 10-12 overall and 8-8 in the west.
Gannon took a 3-0 lead over the Griffins with three runs in the bottom of the third inning.
SHU cut the lead to 3-1 in the top of the sixth inning. The Griffins used two Gannon errors to score an unearned run as they cut the lead to 3-1. The Knights answered with two runs in their half of the inning as they took a 5-1 lead.
Four different Griffins registered a hit in game one with
Jordan Fiedor doubling.
The Knights scored one run in the first inning and two runs in the second inning as they took a 3-0 lead in game two.
SHU cut the lead to one in the top of the third inning.

Jordan Fiedor drew walks to start the inning.
Tommy Pellis followed with an RBI single. After a groundout,
Tyler Peterson knocked in a run with a groundout to cut the lead to 3-2.
Seton Hill broke the game open in the fourth inning with five runs all with two outs. Eli Snider drew a two out walk. He scored when Wrabel homered over the right field wall. Fiedor followed with a double and later scored on a Pellis double.
Jack Oberdorf walked and Peterson made it 7-3 with a two RBI double.
Pellis added an sacrifice fly in the sixth as SHU took an 8-3 lead.
Caiden Wood earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief. He struck out one hitter and did not allow a hit. Fiedor and Pellis each had two hits in the win. Pellis also drove in three. Peterson also added three RBI while Wrabel drove in two and scored three times.
The Griffins are scheduled to return to the field on Tuesday afternoon when they'll host Clarion in a PSAC West doubleheader.
