The Griffin women's lacrosse team looked to remain unbeaten as they hosted Lock Haven on Wednesday afternoon.
Seton Hill jumped out to a 14-5 halftime lead and cruised to their fifth straight victory with an 18-7 victory over Lock Haven. SHU is now 5-0 overall and 4-0 in PSAC West play.
Lock Haven scored the opening goal of the contest before two goals from
Hannah Thompson gave SHU a 2-1 lead less than two minutes into the contest. The Eagles tied the score at two before goals from
Kristi Kada,
Jaclyn Frank and
Kate Kada scored to put the Griffins in front 5-2 with 21:33 to play in the first half.
Another three goal run from the Griffins extended their lead to 8-3 with 12 minutes to play.
Jaclyn Frank scored twice and
Kristi Kada added the other goal in the run. After a LHU goal, the Griffins then ran off four straight goals to build a 12-4 lead with less than five minutes to play in the half.
Taylor Fox-Trudel, Kate and
Kristi Kada and
Alyssa Ference scored during the run. Fox-Trudel and Frank closed out the first half scoring as SHU took a 14-5 lead into the halftime break.
Goals from Frank and
Kristi Kada extended the Griffin lead to eleven at 16-5 with 15:29 to play in the second half. Two LHU goals cut the lead to single digits before
Lindsay Reho and
Elizabeth Tamasitis closed out the scoring for the Griffins.
Frank led the Griffins with 5 goals.
Kristi Kada added 4 goals and 2 assists. Fox-Trudel finished with 2 goals and 3 assists. Thompson finished with 2 goals and an assist.
Seton Hill continues PSAC West play on Saturday morning when they host Gannon.
