Seton Hill made the trip up Interstate 79 to Edinboro, PA for a PSAC West matchup with the Fighting Scots on Wednesday evening. The Scots scored the first two goals of the game before the Griffins cut the lead to one but came up short in a 2-1 loss. SHU falls to 3-5-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the west.
Edinboro opened the scoring in the 25th minute. They carried that 1-0 lead into the halftime break. Edinboro held a 5-1 advantage in shots in the half. Lindsey Padziorko recorded two saves in net in the half.
The Fighting Scots increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal with 28 minutes to play in the second half.
Mikayla Moyer cut the Scots lead to 2-1 with a goal off a free kick with just over eight minutes to play in the half.
Moyer led the Griffins with two shots on goal. Padziorko finished with five saves.
SHU returns to action next Wednesday when they host Gannon.
