Seton Hill hosted Gannon on Wednesday afternoon in a PSAC West matchup at Dick's Sporting Goods Field. The Golden Knights scored once in each half in route to a 2-0 shutout win over the Griffins. SHU is now 3-6-1 overall and 2-6-1 in PSAC West play while Gannon improves to 6-2-2 overall and in the PSAC West.
Gannon took a 1-0 lead over the Griffins in the 17th minute of the contest when they took a through ball and beat the SHU keeper in a one on one opportunity. The Knights held that 1-0 lead into the halftime break. SHU held a 1-0 advantage in corner kicks in the half.
Grace Kenyon made three saves in the first half.
Kenyon made two early saves in the second half to keep the Knights off the board. In the 79th minute,
Corynna Rotoli took a shot that the Gannon keeper made a spectacular save on to keep the score at 1-0. Just a few minutes later, the Knights increased their lead to 2-0.
Kenyon finished with seven saves in net for the Griffins.
The Griffins head to Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon for another PSAC West contest.
