Playing their final non-conference match of the season, Seton Hill was defeated by a 7-0 count by visiting Notre Dame (Ohio) College Wednesday afternoon.
With it being a late-season non-PSAC tilt, the Griffins went with a different line-up to rest their starters and many key reserves. The Falcons jumped ahead very early in the match, scoring with just 2:49 off the clock for a 1-0 advantage. Seton Hill created a couple scoring chances after that but shots by Eskil Enaasan and
Jared Parsons went wide of the goal. NDC would tack on scores in the 36th and 42nd minute and then added a goal with one second on the clock following a free kick to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Falcons would strike for three more goals to run the final total to 7-0. The Griffins would create scoring opportunities, but shots by
Jakob Sabatula and Parsons ran high and one attempt by Parsons was on goal but stopped to prevent SHU from scoring.
Starting in goal for the Griffins was Nicholas Lancaster and he stopped five shots in the opening half. Coming in for the second half was
Nathaniel Huff and he made seven saves in the match.
Seton Hill will return to PSAC action on Saturday when they host Slippery Rock in a 2 pm kickoff.
