Seton Hill closed out their trip to Ohio with a pair of matches at Tiffin on Sunday.

The Griffins took one set from #14 Hillsdale but dropped a 3-1 decision.  Seton Hill then took on home standing Tiffin in their final match of the day.  SHU battled back from two sets down to force a fifth set but the Dragons won the fifth set to take the match.  SHU falls to 4-4 on the season.

SHU battled with the highly ranked Hillsdale team but dropped the first set by a 25-22 score.  Seton Hill tied the match at one with a 25-23 second set win.  Hillsdale then closed out the match with a 25-14 third set win and a 25-15 fourth set win.

Viktoria Farian led the Griffins with 20 kills.  Jessica Hanson finished with 7 kills while Umari Stroud added five.  Taylor Sabol paced the offense with 34 assists.  Farian and Jillian Livorse each had 18 digs.

Tiffin opened up a 2-0 lead over the Griffins with a 25-20 and a 25-21 set win in the first two sets.

Seton Hill used a 4-0 run early in the set to take a 9-6 lead.  Tiffin fought back to take a 16-14 lead before the Griffins scored five of the next six points to take a 20-17 lead.  With the Griffins facing a match point, Livorse tied the set at 25.  Farian saved another match point to tie the set at 26.  Back to back kills from Livorse put SHU in front 28-27.  After a service error, Livorse got a kill and Veronica Johns had an ace on set point as SHU took the set 30-28.

The Griffins built an early 5-2 lead in the fourth set.  Hanson had a kill and a block and Sabol added an ace.  With only a one point lead, the Griffins used a 4-0 run to take a 21-16 lead, the last point on a Bobbi Rempe/Erin Parks block.  Livorse got the Griffins to 24 with a kill and Farian tied the match at two sets with a kill.

SHU led at the turn in the fifth set after a Livorse kill and a Lauren Nelson block put SHU in front 8-7.  Four straight points from the Dragons gave them an 11-8 lead.  A block from Sabol and Hanson and a Farian kill trimmed the lead to 11-10.  Another Farian kill made it 12-11 but the Dragons scored the final three points to take the match.
