DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - The Seton Hill University men's lacrosse team saw their season end at the hands of Mercy College, 15-10, on Wednesday afternoon in the First Round of the 2019 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship at Mercy Field.

• Seton Hill ends the 2019 campaign with an overall record of 12-5.
• Mercy College moves on to the Second Round and improves to 18-1 on the year.
• Mercy led in Shots, 36-29.
• SHU committed 18 turnovers compared to 16 for Mercy.
• Both teams won 14-of-28 Face Offs.
• Mercy grabbed 36 Ground Balls while SHU had 31.
• The Griffins were 11-for-16 in Clears.
// SHU LEADERS
• Logan Maloni led the offensive effort with three goals. Dan Rupert and Bennett Johnson had two goals apiece. Robert Hofseth, John Hofseth, and Collin Mitchell each chipped in one goal.
• Max Eismann finished with nine saves while spending 45:21 in the net.
• Kevin Mo grabbed four saves in relief of Eismann.
// HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mercy was red hot at the start of the game, outscoring the Griffins 6-1 in the first quarter. Down 8-1 in the second, SHU registered back-to-back goals when John Hofseth scored at 6:28 and Robert Hofseth found the back of the net at 5:43 to make it 8-3. A Dan Rupert goal cut the deficit in half with 1:20 remaining in the second, but SHU would still be trailing 8-4 at halftime. It was all Mercy College in the second half as the homestanding Maverick's put in four in the third and three more in the fourth on their way to the 15-10 win.
