Seton Hill continued play in the PSAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon in Quakertown, PA with an elimination game against Bloomsburg. The Griffins jumped out on the Huskies for four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back in a 5-1 win to eliminate Bloomsburg. SHU is now 29-17 overall.
Brooke Bower opened the first inning with a single and stole second base.
Jenna Osikowicz walked and after two outs both stole a bag.
Alexis Vargas walked to load the bases.
Nichole McClendon reached on a error to score Bower.
Morgan Toal followed with a two RBI single.
Devyn Terry added an RBI single and SHU led 4-0 after one inning of play.
SHU added an insurance run in the fourth inning. Bower doubled and scored on a
Christiana Skrabak single to make it 5-0.
Bloomsburg hit a leadoff homer in the seventh for their only run of the game.
Bower led the offense with 2 hits.
Morgan Toal drove in two runs.
Christiana Skrabak and
Devyn Terry each added an RBI. Terry earned the win in the circle with 6 innings of work. She gave up 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 5.
SHU will meet the loser of the Gannon/Lock Haven game at 2 PM in another elimination game.
