OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - John Hofseth had a game-high five points on two goals and three assists, and John Miller added four goals as the Seton Hill University men's lacrosse team knocked off New York Tech, 12-8, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at President's Stadium on the campus of NYIT.

• Seton Hill improves to 5-3 on the year, while NYIT slips to 2-7.
• SHU amassed 42 total shots in the game compared to 32 for NYIT.
• Seton Hill forces 17 turnovers from NYIT.
• SHU grabbed 30 grounds balls.
• The Griffins dominated the face offs, winning 16 out of 24 overall and 7 of 9 in the second half.

• John Miller led the Griffs in goals with four. John Hofseth had two, and six others - Logan Maloni, Ryan Manbeck, Brett Craig, Bennett Johnson, Zack Estabrooks, and Dan Rupert - chipped in goals on the day.
• Max Eismann finished with 14 saves in all 60:00 spent in the net.
// HOW IT HAPPENED
• After giving up four goals to start the game, Seton HIll embarked on a 8-1 run that spanned the end of the first quarter and all of the second quarter. Logan Maloni's goal with 00:11 on the clock in the first quarter started the run. John Miller, Ryan Manbeck, Zack Estabrooks, John Hofseth, and Brett Craig all got a piece of the action as the Griffins dominated the second quarter to take an 8-5 lead into halftime. The Bears responded, however, by winning the third quarter, 3-1, to cut the SHU lead to two, 9-7, but Seton Hill would win the fourth quarter, 3-1, to earn the 12-8 win.
