ERIE, PA. - Gabriella Oxley scored her first two goals of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Seton Hill University field hockey team suffered a 5-2 loss to Mercyhurst University in Erie.

// HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Griffins got off to a hot start when Gabriella Oxley scored her first goal of the game off of a penalty corner just 1:59 into the game (Colleen Roy and Nicole Susi on the assists). Mercyhurst would tie the game at 1-1 with a goal in the seventh minute of the game, and that would be the score at the end of the quarter. Mercyhurst grabbed the lead in the 19th minute of the game, and would take that lead into halftime.
• The Lakers would get some cushion when they added goals in the 32nd and 36th minutes, but Oxley's second goal of the game cut the deficit in half just over 30 seconds before the end of the third quarter. The Lakers added their fifth goal just 19 seconds in the fourth quarter on their way to the 5-2 win.
