Seton Hill continued PSAC West play on Wednesday afternoon with a matchup with Mercyhurst.

The Lakers scored a goal in each half for a 2-0 victory over the Griffins.  SHU falls to 6-8-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the west while the Lakers improve to 7-4-2 overall and 4-2-1 in west play. 

Mercyhurst took a 1-0 lead over the Griffins early in the first half.  A failed Griffin clearance gave the Lakers the ball at the top of the box and they were able to beat the SHU keeper into the right hand corner of the net for a 1-0 lead just 8:08 into the contest.  The Lakers took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.  Both teams had two corners in the half. 

The game remained 1-0 until there was just over ten minutes to play when the Lakers used a thru ball to set a forward free and the shot snuck past the Griffin keeper for a 2-0 lead. 

Austin Iddon finished with 7 saves for the Griffins.  Archie Lock had three of the Griffin five shots. 

The Griffins will close out the home portion of their schedule on Saturday when they host Gannon.
