Seton Hill returned to PSAC West play on Saturday afternoon with a road matchup at Slippery Rock.
The Rock scored right before the half, the only goal in the game, for a 1-0 victory over the Griffins. SHU drops to 6-7-1 overall and 2-3-1 in PSAC West play while the Rock improves to 6-6-2 overall and 3-3 in PSAC West play.Â
Seton Hill came out of the gates firing as they had five shots in the first ten minutes of the first half. The Rock took a 1-0 lead on a goal with 1:26 to play in the first half. The Rock ended up outshooting the Griffins 10-8 in the half. Both teams had three corners in the half.Â
Both offenses slowed down in the second half as the teams just managed a combined eleven shots. The Griffins had four corners in the half to just one for the Rock.Â
Austin Iddon recorded seven saves in the contest.Â
Alex Dysen finished with four shots in the contest.Â
Ryan Doyle added two shots on goal.Â
The Griffins return to action on Wednesday afternoon when they host Mercyhurst at 4 PM.Â
