Seton Hill closed out their eastern PA roadtrip with a matchup at PSAC Central leading East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon.
The PSAC Central leading Warriors were able to sweep the Griffins. SHU falls to 9-8 overall and 5-4 in PSAC play while the Warriors improve to 18-4 and 9-1 in PSAC play.
East Stroudsburg jumped on the Griffins in the first set and took a 1-0 lead over the Griffins with a 25-11 first set win.
They increased their lead to 2-0 in the match with a 25-16 second set win.
The Griffins took a 10-5 and 12-6 lead in the third set. SHU answered a 3-0 Warrior run with a 3-0 run of their own to build the lead back to 15-9. The Warriors scored five straight to cut the SHU lead to 15-14. SHU responded with a 5-0 run of their own, two on
Jillian Livorse kills to take a 22-18 lead. A kill from
Bobbi Rempe put SHU in front 23-20. Four straight from the Warriors gave them a set point at 24-23. A Livorse kill saved that set point but the Warriors closed out the match with two points.
Livorse led the Griffins with 9 kills.
Viktoria Farian and Rempe each finished with 6 kills.
Taylor Sabol had 23 assists.
Lauren Nelson led SHU with 3 blocks. Livorse led SHU with 15 digs. Farian added 11 and
Erin Parks reached double figures with 10.
SHU will take a break from PSAC play on Tuesday when they host Fairmont State.
