Dysen, Davies Lift SHU Over Slippery Rock

GREENSBURG -  Alex Dysen tied the game at one apiece, and Lloyd Davies hit the eventual game-winner as the Seton Hill University men's soccer team upended Slippery Rock, 2-1, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg.

// NOTABLES
• Seton Hill improves to 6-5-1 on the year, 2-2-1 in the PSAC.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Bobby White picked up the win in his first start of the season. White grabbed two saves in 90:00 minutes played for the Griffs.
• The Griffins' tied a season-high in assists (2)
•  Seton Hill held a 11-10 edge in shots, but had a decisive 8-3 lead in shots on goal.
•  Rock had three corner kicks compared to two for SHU.
•  The two teams combined for 29 total fouls, including six yellow cards.

// HOW IT HAPPENED
•  Alejandro Fernandez gave the visitors the lead in the 43rd minute when his free kick just outside the box found its way to the top right hand corner of the goal. SHU's Bobby White did get a hand on the shot, but it was too hot to handle as Slippery Rock would take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
•  Seton Hill would strike back in the 48th minute when a long ball from Liam Kettle reached a streaking Alex Dysen just outside the goal. Facing a charging Rock goalkeeper, Dysen calmly flicked the ball off of his knee over Derek Hoffman to tie the game up at 1-1.
•  Lloyd Davies would give SHU the lead when he headed a ball in off of a Tormod Simonsen corner kick. This would be all the Griffins needed as they would hold on for the 2-1 victory.
