The Griffin women's soccer team headed to Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon looking to extend its winning streak to three. With the match tied in overtime,
Madison Schwerzler send the Griffins home a winner with a strike into the corner of the net for a 2-1 win. SHU is now 8-2 overall and 7-2 in PSAC action.
Seton Hill outshot the Raiders 14-6 in the first half but could not find the back of the net as the match headed into the halftime break tied at 0-0. Eight of those Griffin shots were on net.
The Griffins finally broke thru the Raider defense in the 68th minute.

Italia Biondi who beat the Raider keeper to give the Griffins a 1-0 lead. It did not take the Raiders long to tie the score at one as the tied the match less than three minutes after the Griffin goal.
Melanie Renda hit the cross bar in the 78th minute but neither team scored, sending the match to overtime.
SHU nearly won the match just 1:30 into overtime but
Katie Kimmich's shot hit the post. That set up Schwerzler's magical strike into the upper corner of the net 4:36 into the overtime period.
Jessica Neill finished with 7 saves in net. LoPresti finished with 8 shots while Biondi added 7.
SHU will look to make it four in a row when they host Gannon on Wednesday afternoon.
