Seton Hill took a break from PSAC action on Tuesday afternoon as they hosted Roberts Wesleyan in a non conference matchup. SHU trailed 1-0 at the break but rallied with two second half goals to remain unbeaten after the 2-1 win. SHU is now 3-0-2 on the season.
Roberts Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute of the contest when they took advantage of a Griffin turnover. They picked off a pass and beat the Griffin keeper for a 1-0 lead. Both teams had five shots in the first half with two on net.
The second half was all Seton Hill as the Griffins outshot the Redhawks by a 9-3 margin. SHU tied the match in the 58th minute.
Archie Lock hit the post with a shot and
Alex Dyson found the rebound and put it in the back of the net to tie the score at one. The Griffins took the lead in the 80th minute.
Henrik Berg played a long ball that was sent into the box and flicked it onto
Joffe Bradley who beat the Redhawk keeper to give the Griffins the 2-1 lead.
Austin Iddon finished with 2 saves in net.
The Griffins return to PSAC play on Friday when they host Millersville at 1 PM. SHU will then travel to California (PA) on Sunday for another PSAC contest.
