Seton Hill opened the NCAA Atlantic Regional with a first round matchup with Gannon in Buckhannon, WV
on Thursday afternoon. Gannon scored seven times in the bottom of the second inning in route to a 10-1, five inning win over the Griffins. SHU falls to 23-16 on the season.
SHU came out of the gates fast, scoring in the top of the first inning.
Brooke Bower led off the inning with a single. She moved to second on a bunt from
Laken Ryen.
Devyn Terry then sent a ball back thru the middle to score Bower and give SHU the 1-0 lead.
Gannon scores seven times in the bottom of the second inning to take a 7-1 lead over the Griffins. They added three more runs in the fourth inning to put into play the eight run rule.
Terry led the Griffins with two hits.
SHU will now meet the loser of the nest game between WV Wesleyan and WV State in an elimination game at
1:30 PM on Friday.
