Seton Hill hosted Lock Haven in a non conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon on a bright and sunny afternoon. SHU scored in its first five at bats in game one for a 6-2 win. The Griffins completed the sweep with an 8-1 win in game two. SHU is now 23-20 on the season.
Chris Law gave SHU a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with a solo homer. SHU added a run in the second on an RBI groundout from
Andrew Chuba.
SHU picked up a run in the third on a sac fly from
Adam Bankovich that scored Law from second base.
Jamie Wrabel singled in
Austin Braendel who doubled in the fourth to give SHU a 4-0 lead.
Lock Haven got two runs back in the fifth with a two run homer. Braendel singled in two runs in the fifth to push the lead back to four at 6-2.
Braendel was 3-3 with 2 RBI.
Lock Haven scored once in the top of the third inning to take a 1-0 lead in game two.
SHU tied the score at one in the bottom of the inning.
Jordan Fiedor drew a two out walk and scored when Law singled. The Griffins took the lead in the fourth on a RBI single from
Ryan Grieco that scored
Colton Carney who doubled with one out. SHU added three more runs, two on a single from
MP Buckley to take a 5-1 lead.
The Griffins added three more in the fifth, two on a double off the left field wall from Grieco.
Grieco led the Griffins with 3 hits. Law added two.
Michael Bryja earned the win by going five innings. He gave up one run on four hits while striking out four.
SHU will take on Clarion on Friday to open their final PSAC West four game set.
