Seton Hill closed out its four game set with Mercyhurst by hosting the Lakers in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. Mercyhurst took game one by the score of 10-7. The Lakers completed the sweep with a 5-4 win in game two. SHU drops to 10-16 overall and 5-7 in PSAC West play.
Both teams picked up unearned runs in the first inning to keep the game tied at one. Dan Wukich doubled with two outs in the second inning and scored on two wild pitches to give SHU a 2-1 lead after two innings.
The Lakers used a three run homer to take a 4-2 lead in the top of the third inning. Mercyhurst added three more unearned runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 7-2. Mercyhurst added an insurance run in the sixth to push their lead to 8-2.
Mark Colella hit a solo homer in the sixth inning to cut the Lakers lead to 8-3. The Lakers added two more runs in the seventh inning before SHU scored four times in the seventh. Colella had a two run double in the inning.

The Lakers took advantage of a Griffin error in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead in game two. Mercyhurst built their lead to 2-0 in the third inning.
Tom McCarthy was hit by a pitch and
Jordan Fiedor followed with a two run shot to left center field to tie the game at two. That tie did not last long as the Lakers retook the lead in the top of the fifth inning.
The Lakers added two more runs in the seventh inning.
Seton Hill battled back in the seventh inning but came up just short.
Austin Braendel walked to start the inning and
Garret Vrbanic singled to put runners on first and second. Two strikeouts put the Griffins back against the wall but the Griffins would not quit.
Tyler Sullivan and
Colton Carney both singled in runs to cut the lead to 5-4. Colella walked to load the bases but a ground out ended the game.
Sullivan, Fiedor and Vrbanic each had two hits.
Michael Bryja went 6.1 innings giving up 3 earned runs while striking out 7.
SHU is scheduled to host Alderson Broaddus on Tuesday afternoon.
