Seton Hill continued their homestand on Friday afternoon when they hosted Gannon on a cloudy and breezy day. Gannon scored eight times in the fourth inning to take game one by the score of 10-4. The Knights completed the sweep with an 8-2 win in game two. SHU is now 11-9 and 3-3 in PSAC West play.
The Griffins scored three times in the bottom of the first inning of game one.
Brooke Bower led off with a single. She moved to second on a sac bunt from
Jenna Osikowicz.
Christiana Skrabak singled to put runners on first and third and then Bower stole home to give SHU a 1-0 lead.
Ashley Perillo doubled off the center field wall and
Devyn Terry helped herself with an RBI single to give SHU a 3-0 lead.
The Gannon offense struck for eight runs in the fourth inning and then added two more in the fifth inning to take a 10-3 lead over the Griffins.
SHU scored once in the sixth inning. Skrabak doubled to lead off the inning and scored on a single from Perillo.

SHU again took a lead in the first inning of game two. Bower led off with a single. Osikowicz singled moving Bower to third. Bower was cut down at the plate on a fielders choice for the first out. Osikowicz then beat the throw to the plate to give SHU a 1-0 lead.
Paige Hertzog then drove in a run to give SHU a 1-0 lead.
The Knights cut the Griffins lead to 2-1 with a run in the top of the third inning. They added four more runs to take a 5-2 lead in the fourth inning. Gannon scored a single run in the fifth and two more in the sixth for an 8-2 lead.
SHU will return to action next Wednesday when they host California (PA) in a PSAC West Doubleheader.
