Seton Hill closed out their weekend in eastern PA with a late afternoon matchup with East Stroudsburg on Saturday. The Griffins earned a 3-0 sweep over the host Warriors in an important PSAC and Atlantic Region matchup. SHU is now 18-8 overall and 11-4 in PSAC play while the Warriors drop to 19-8 overall and 9-6 in PSAC action.
The Griffins took an early 4-1 lead in the first set of the match. East Stroudsburg battled back in the set and took a 17-16 lead. Three straight from the Griffins gave them a 19-17 lead. Two kills from
Viktoria Farian and an ace from
Leah Bisignani pushed the Griffins lead to 23-20. Farian closed out the set with a kill, giving SHU a 1-0 lead with a 25-21 first set win.
The early portion of the second set was tightly played and the teams were tied at 10. SHU then ran off three straight points, two on kills from Farian and Bisignani, to take a 13-10 lead. SHU took control of the set with a 7-0 run. Farian had two aces in the run. A block from

Jessica Hanson closed out the set and gave SHU a 2-0 lead with a 25-16 second set win.
Back to back kills from
Leah Bisignani gave SHU an 11-6 lead in the third set. SHU put the match away with a 9-0 run late in the third set. The Griffins completed the sweep with a 25-12 third set win.
Farian led the Griffins with a match high 12 kills. She hit .688 in the match. Bisignani added 9 kills and hit .529.
Taylor Sabol ran the offense with 30 assists.
Hannah Moeller finished with a match high 30 digs. Farian had a double double with 13 digs.
SHU returns to PSAC Southwest Division action on Tuesday when they travel to California (PA).
