Seton Hill made the trip up I-79 to Edinboro to take on the Fighting Scots in a PSAC West battle on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins got off to a good start leading 12-7 but Edinboro scored 49 unanswered points for a 56-12 win. SHU falls to 1-7 overall and 1-4 in PSAC West play.
SHU won the toss and took the football and drove 60 yards in 11 plays to take an early lead.
Chris Jones hooked up with
Terrell Ford for a 14 yard touchdown pass to give the Griffins an early 6-0 lead. The Scots answered back with a touchdown drive of their own to take a 7-6 lead with 8:39 left in the quarter. It did not take the Griffins very long to retake the lead. They needed just four plays, the last a 22 yard touchdown pass from Jones to
Ardell Brown to take a 12-7 lead with 6:41 to go in the quarter. Just over 50 seconds later the Scots retook the lead that they would never give back as they scored on an eight yard TD pass to take a 14-12 lead. The Scots carried that lead into the second quarter.
From that point on it was all Edinboro as they scored the final six touchdowns of the game. They scored two touchdowns in each quarter for the 56-12 victory.
