Seton Hill opened up PSAC play on Saturday afternoon with a road contest at #9 Kutztown. The Golden Bears scored twice in the first half and added a third in the second half for a 3-0 victory. SHU is now 2-6 overall and 0-1 in PSAC play.
Kutztown took a 1-0 lead just 9:02 into the first half on a goal from a shot that was ripped from the top of the box. The Golden Bears increased their lead to 2-0 with a goal with just 50 seconds to play in the half.
The Golden Bears added their third goal of the game with just under 18 minutes to play in the half.
Kutztown outshot the Griffins 23-9 in the contest. All 9 of the Griffin shots were on goal.
Molly Childress led the Griffins with 4 shots on goal.
Alexandra Piekarz recorded 7 saves while allowing 2 goals in the first half.
Jane Eberhardt recorded 4 saves while allowing a goal in the second half.
The Griffins will host Converse College on Friday afternoon at 4 PM.
