Melanie Renda scored her first goal of the season and the Seton Hill University women's soccer team battled Millersville University to a 1-1 double overtime tie Friday afternoon at Pucillo Field in Millersville.
The Griffins now sit at 5-3-1 overall (3-2-1 PSAC) while Millersville slides to 3-2-2 overall (1-3-2 PSAC).

Melanie Renda that found the ball in the chaos of a free kick that sailed in the box to tie the game at 1-1. The two exhausted teams would battle in overtime with each registering two shots in the first and another in the second OT. But, neither team could find the game-winner and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
For the game, Millersville had 19 shots compared to 11 for Seton Hill. Seton Hill held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks. SHU standout goalkeeper
Jessica Neill grabbed eight saves in all 110:00 played in the net. Kate Phillips had two saves in the first 45:00 for Millersville with Kataia Mujica grabbing one save and allowing one goal in 65:00 guarding the net.
Seton Hill will take a much needed day off before taking on rival California University (PA) on Sunday, September 24th. That match is scheduled for a 1:00 PM start at Dick's Sporting Goods Field in Greensburg.
