ERIE, Pa. - The Seton Hill women's soccer team was shutout for the first time this season, dropping a 1-0 decision to Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Tuesday on the campus of Mercyhurst University.
Seton Hill falls to 5-2-0 on the season and 3-2 in PSAC play. Mercyhurst grabbs their first win of the season, improving to 1-2-2 on the year. The Lakers are 1-2-1 in conference action.
Anja Korte scored the game's only goal off of a free kick in the 18th minute of a game that saw the Lakers outshoot Seton Hill, 15-6 (6-4 on goal). Mercyhurst held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. Seton Hill's
Jessica Neill had five saves in all 90 minutes played in goal. Vilde World grabbed four saves for the Lakers.
Seton Hill will look to get back to their winning ways on Friday when they travel to Millersville, Pa. to take on Millersville University. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.Â
