Women's Soccer Blanks Mansfield On Senior Day

GREENSBURG, Pa. - Seton Hill University's women's soccer team scored two in the first and added another in the second on their way to a 3-0 win over Mansfield in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.

The Griffins, who celebrated seniors Emma Bearinger, Emma Porteous, Megan Warman, and Morgan Casario, improve to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the PSAC. Mansfield falls to 0-4-1 on the year.

Emily LoPresti got the party started with a goal late in the 18th minute off of a Katie Kimmich assist. Syaani Harris scored her fourth goal of the year in the form of a one on one with the goalkeeper (Emma Bearinger assist) in the 35th. Then, in the 56th minute of play, Emma Porteous capped off the match with a blast to the top right shelf off of a Sawyer Patrick assist as SHU took the 3-0 victory.

For the match, Seton Hill outshot Mansfield, 26-6 (12-3 on goal). The Griffins held the Mountaineers without a corner kick, leading that category 8-0. SHU goalkeeper, Jessica Neill, earned her fourth shutout on the year while making three saves in the win. Dana DiCamillo had nine saves in the loss.

The Griffins will travel to Erie, Pa. on Tuesday, September 19th to take on Mercyhurst University. Kickoff of set for 4:00 PM.
